During University of Aberdeen Music Prize weekend, April 29th-May 1st 2005, Mark collaborated with Jennifer Martin and composer Pete Stollery working with primary school children and students from Kincorth Academy exploring electro-acoustic sound and music, during which Mark gave a demonstration of contemporary trumpet technique. The following day Mark performed in a concert of solo trumpet music by Jennifer Martin and Jonathan Harvey and collaborated with the music students from University of Aberdeen culminating in a performance of a brass and percussion piece by student composer, Paul Tierney.
